Welcome to the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers
It doesn’t just take the parent who has the breasts to make breastfeeding work, it takes a team. The ABM have been supporting new families for 40 years and we know that breastfeeding is team work. It’s about knowing how breastfeeding happens, knowing how newborns behave, accessing qualified support when things are challenging, providing encouragement and emotional support - and practical support around the home too.
It may be hard work for both of you. It can be challenging for the person with the breasts. It might be difficult for a partner to watch the person you love experience some challenges, but you can make all the difference.
