ESOL for Pregnancy and Birth
If your first language is not English, this course may be for you.
If there are no courses available, please email Whatson@cht.nhs.uk to be added to a waiting list.
You can attend at any stage of pregnancy, as long as you can attend for all the 4 weeks.
The course runs for 4 weeks, two mornings per week and will include learning words in English and understanding their meaning, to help you through your pregnancy and birth.

Each session is run by an ESOL Teacher from Calderdale College and a Midwife.
You will get to know other mums to be and have time to ask questions. Your partner is welcome to join with you (please book their place) or you can attend on your own.
Sessions will be held for 4 weeks as follows:
- Monday afternoon - Jubilee Centre
- Wednesday afternoon- Jubliee Centre
